iLEAPS sessions at EGU2010 |
|
iLEAPS is organizing/so-sponsoring several sessions at the European Geosciences Union General Assembly 2010 (EGU2010), 2-7 May 2010 in Vienna, Austria. Six of the iLEAPS co-sponsored sessions belong to series of sessions called Biosphere-Atmosphere Interactions (BAI). Time schedule for the sessions is here (pdf) and all EGU sessions here. |

IGBP Climate-Change Index launched |
|
IGBP has launched the Climate-Change Index at the United Nations climate negotiations in Copenhagen. The index combines annual changes of four directly-measured key parameters of global change: carbon dioxide, temperature, sea level and sea ice.

Review article on aerosol effects in Nature |
In the beginning of October 2009 a review article on Untangling aerosol effects on clouds and precipitation in a buffered system was published in Nature ( Vol 461, Issue 7264 , p. 607) by Bjorn Stevens and Graham Feingold. The paper is linked to the Aerosol, Clouds, Precipitation, Climate ( ACPC ) program initiated by iLEAPS, IGAC and GEWEX .
