The 2017 AGU Fall Meeting is fast approaching and we would like to ask your help to act as volunteer judges to provide constructive feedback to student presenters for the Outstanding Student Paper Award (OSPA) at our "Advances in Understanding Land-Atmosphere Interactions in a Changing Environment" session this year. Our session takes place on Wednesday (poster session only) and Thursday (all day for talks). You can judge as many posters and/or oral presentations as you choose (this should take ~5-10 minutes of your time).
Responsibilities as an OSPA Judge:
- Register (https://ospa.agu.org/2017/ospa/) and agree to the honor code. Volunteer judges must be current non-student AGU members attending the Fall Meeting 2017 (see https://fallmeeting.agu.org/2017/students/outstanding-student-paper-award/ospa-judge-information/ for further information).
- Sign up for student presentations you wish to evaluate.
- Evaluate all presentations you volunteered to judge during Fall Meeting
- Submit scores, either in real time on a tablet or mobile device, or take notes while you evaluate students and enter the scores online no later than Friday, 22 December 2017, at 11:59 p.m. EDT.
To help you find the relevant abstracts, we list below the individual codes for our "Advances in Understanding Land-Atmosphere Interactions in a Changing Environment" sessions:
H41M: Advances in Understanding Land-Atmosphere Interactions in a Changing Environment I [2 OSPA talks]
H42B: Advances in Understanding Land-Atmosphere Interactions in a Changing Environment II [4 OSPA talks]
H43N: Advances in Understanding Land-Atmosphere Interactions in a Changing Environment III [1 OSPA talk]
H44C: Advances in Understanding Land-Atmosphere Interactions in a Changing Environment IV [2 OSPA talks]
H33B: Advances in Understanding Land-Atmosphere Interactions in a Changing Environment V Posters [11 OSPA posters]
Volunteer judges are an integral part of the judging process. The generous time commitment and constructive feedback is vital for student growth and development. AGU greatly appreciates the time and effort of the OSPA judges.
